Artist Notes |
God speaks to us in dreams, through other people and even through a painting.
I started painting patriotic art because it allows me to express my frustrations in ways I can not do with words.
I want to be remembered as a man who cared more for his God and country than himself.
My next few paintings are motivated by the Presidential Election. It is a critical time in our history.
Somebody once said to me that if you mix politics and religion in painting...that is not art.
I told them that is exactly what art is...if it makes you think and feel it is the greatest art of all!
I paint like the world depends upon it, then I come home and my wife tells me to change the diapers. Life is good.
I think about it, I pray about it, I paint about it.
I receive an enormous amount of negative letters, phone messages and email from the Left. Must be doing something right.
As an artist you must be fiercely independent of any teacher, relative or doctrine. Only paint the truth.
I have paint on just about every piece of clothing I own, so I guess the smock isn't working.
First you become a beacon of hope for others by your example and conviction, then you change the world one person at a time.
